We had a great day in Granbury; all of my favorite things. We had breakfast at the Nutshell Bakery, coffee at the grinder, jet skiied for hours, Coffee Grinder again, painted pottery (we are doing tiles to put in a frame), then steak dinner at Let’s Eat. For those of you who haven’t experienced the awesomeness of Let’s Eat you need to try it soon. Owner/chef retreated from the big city restaurant scene to open his own restaurant in a small humble building in the small town of Bluff Dale. Everytime the doors open crowds flood to fill the few tables. Tonight we had Brocolli soup, a HUGE New York strip steak with Rosemary mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus, followed by a delicious chocolate cake. It was a great ending to a super fun day with the best part of the evening being the beautiful full moon on the drive home!
On other fronts everything is good. I’m in hunt of the perfect shoulder swing purse and a moped that I can justify buying. Oh and I have found a bunch of really cool reusable sandwhich and snack bags on Etsy…cool but how often would I really use them? We are watching Under the Tuscan Sun(Steve even picked it) and I’m sure I will dream of Italy tonight. Life is beginning to slow down some and I have even found time to start reading a book called A Year in the World. It is actually by the same author as Under the Tuscan Sun. It is good so far. Steve and I discovered the true purpose of tea cup and saucer while relaxing the other night; the saucer is a perfect resting place for tea bag and spoon. The apartment is coming together very well. We have put together our kitchen table, have pictures hanging on the walls, and pillows on the couch! It is beginning to feel like home. This week we are having a friend from HEB over for dinner, two softball games, Wednesday night church, then we are heading home for a weekend with the Fam! Life is all around good!
